Tanja Stadler, from
ETH Zurich, is giving an online web seminar today at
phyloseminar.org. Her talk will be about estimating speciation & extinction rates from phylogenies and might be quite interesting to check out. If you haven't watched a "phyloseminar" live before, phyloseminar.org uses
EVO - kind of like a fancy, multiuser Skype. The interface is very cool - but you should allow a little extra time before the seminar (scheduled for 1PM eastern) to make sure you get online with no difficulty. If you miss the seminar, you can always watch the
recorded version later.
